Your portrait session is done and now it is time for the fun part, choosing your photos!
Surprisingly, it is the most difficult part for most of our clients. But, not to worry, I am going to help you every step of the way. We start by setting aside a time exclusively for you where you will have the opportunity to pick your favorite images portraits and place your order.
Choosing portraits for your home is not that much different from investing in art or furniture. Before your scheduled selection appointment, be armed with measurements, a style or colors. The idea is to select images that blend well with your other home furnishings. As with any home furnishing having a budget is an important part of your decision making.
At the studio, we have a large high definition TV for viewing your images. We also have a full selection of samples to touch and feel and see how they look on the wall. If you can't come by the studio, don't worry, we also offer an online virtual meeting for our clients who would like to choose from the comfort of their home or office with images of all of our products available to show you online.
Before the Meeting:
Take a walk around your home and really look at your space. Ask yourself a few questions: Does the idea of having a grouping of portraits appeal to you or would you rather have one large portrait? What is the style/decor of your home? Colorful Decor, Eclectic, Modern Monochrome? Your style will influence your choices. Do you want something framed, maybe a modern gallery wrap or a durable metal rich in color? Where do you spend the most time and where would you like to display your portraits? What else would you like to do with your portraits? Think about your extended family, grand parents, aunts, uncles, best friends. Do you want to send a gift for a birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day or the Holidays? Your selection appointment is a good time to get that done.
Take photos of your walls that are candidates for your portraits. Tape an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper on the wall, step back as far as you can, aim your camera straight on and click. Text those photos to me a few days before our meeting and using specialized software, I can show you what your portraits will look like hanging on your wall during our appointment.

At the Meeting:
Our chance to wow you with your amazing portraits! We will go through a slideshow of the best images on a large screen TV or online with your computer. You will laugh, cry and reminisce about the importance of your family relationships.
We will then go through a preliminary process of narrowing down the images to your favorites. Next I will show you products that seem to fit your needs so that you will have a better understanding of what you like and what will look good in your home.
Once you have made that decision we will go back through the images you have chosen one more time and narrow down which ones you would like to display in your wall gallery or which images you would like to put in your album and which portraits you would like to send to friends and family as a gift print.
Purchasing your family portraits is an investment, so we recommend that all of the decision makers be involved in the selection choices.
After the Meeting:
We go to work on your images, editing, retouching, carefully reviewing each inch of the image and place product orders with our suppliers. We do offer an online viewing gallery for 60 days if you need more time to take a look at the photos after the meeting.
Orders are non-refundable, and are guaranteed to last for 75 years or longer. We ship them to you ready to hang and to bring you joy every time you look at them. Turn around time averages about 3 weeks, depending on the size of your order.
Choosing your family portraits can sometimes be overwhelming. My goal is to make it as easy as possible for you so you can get on with enjoying your portraits every day for years to come.
Every moment is undeniably beautiful.
