A New Journey

Grackle in Black & WhiteGrackle in Black & White

If you have been following me since 2004 when I launched my photography business, you were probably witness to my pursuit of nature photography and animals, which is where I started a real love affair with professional grade photography.  (And thank you for following me).   During that time, as I relentlessly cruised the mountains and deserts for moments and my next favorite image, I was noticed by various publications and national organizations who requested use of my work for education, publishing and advertising; including The Smithsonian, The Colorado Department of Wildlife and several Telluride publications.  I have donated pieces for fund raising and have gifted prints to hundreds of friends, strangers and family members.    It is a love that still burns today.

As with many female artists, my interests meandered away from nature (but not too far) when I entered motherhood and began photographing my most beautiful subject, my child.   Suddenly I was noticed by friends and other Telluride locals, and a portrait photography business was born.  In that time of more than a decade, I professionally photographed thousands of faces and have had tens of thousands of visitors to my website.

What an honor and a privilege to be swooned, touched and taken to tears by so many beautiful moments with families, brides, grooms, babies and friends in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world.  It is a gift to participate in fleeting moments of intimacy and love.  I have laughed, cried, been moved and fell in love many of my clients.

In the last couple years my photography has been publicly quiet, but internally explosive with ideas and inspiration, as I reimagine my life as a nature photographer.   I invite you today, to stick with me while my website catches up with the ideas in my head, and allow me to develop my dream photography so I can show it to you. And I hope, as you join me on this journey, you will find something, a timeless and custom fine art piece, that you would deem worthy of your intimate spaces.

Will you come with me on this new journey of all the beautiful things I can find?    I am excited about sharing it with you.

- Brenda
