Abstract Hand
pastel 2002br/ Robin painted this piece at age 15 in an Ah Haa School of the Arts workshop in Telluride, CO. Most locals would probably name it The Valley Floor, but Robin chose a more mysterious title for it, referring to the frozen switchbacks of Black Bear Pass road. He donated this piece when the Town of Telluride was raising money to purchase the Valley Floor, through a condemnation process. A good friend of mine ended up buying it (thank goodness!), and she graciously returned the original to us. We had a print made for her and had it framed. We feel fortunate to have the original!
